Tour & Happy Hour - TransBay Cable Potrero Station

  • TransBay Cable Potrero Station 601 23rd Street San Francisco, California, 94107 United States (map)

Power Up Your Perspective: Behind the Scenes at the TransBay Cable Tour

The LAI Golden Gate Chapter invites you on an exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour of the TransBay Cable (TBC) Potrero Station — one of the most remarkable feats of energy infrastructure on the West Coast.

This isn't your average substation. The TransBay Cable is a $1 billion engineering marvel: a submarine High Voltage DC transmission line that runs beneath San Francisco Bay, delivering 40–50% of San Francisco's electricity all the way from Pittsburg to Potrero Hill.

Go inside the converter station most San Franciscans will never see, and discover how this critical piece of the grid keeps the city powered — rain or shine, day or night.

Happy Hour at Standard Deviant Brewing after the tour!

Space is limited — reserve your spot today and see firsthand the infrastructure that powers one of America's great cities.
