If you own a concrete building in San Francisco, or advise owners on design and construction of building retrofits, you should know about the city’s newly enacted “Concrete Buildings Safety Program.”
Please join Don Libbey, Vice President of Plant Construction Company and Russell Berkowitz, Principal with Forell | Elsesser Structural Engineers as they share their knowledge of the Concrete Buildings Safety Program (Ordinance No. 250211):
What is the intent of the ordinance, why was it enacted?
What is the timeline for implementation?
What types of buildings are affected?
What are future steps?
We will then have a group discussion amongst the participants on the opportunities and challenges of implementing this ordinance, and how building owners, architects, engineers and contractors are preparing for it.
Please bring your own lunch.
Attendance is limited to 20.
Membership dues must be current to attend. To pay your dues, please visit lai.org, and click the "Renewal" button under "My Membership."
