In Memoriam - Anne Halsted
We are saddened by the recent loss of Anne Halsted, an extraordinary community leader who supported quality projects by bringing together neighborhood groups, public bodies, and the development community. Over the years, Anne was a leader at the San Francisco Port Commission, the Bay Conservation and Development Commission, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, and SPUR. Among many achievements, Anne was proud of the Port's Waterfront Plan that broke logjams and allowed the creation of a vibrant, pedestrian oriented waterfront and created hundreds of millions of dollars in value.
