Virtual Program - UC Berkeley Campus Master Plan

Please join the LAI Golden Gate Chapter on September 13th for a behind-the-scenes look at the newly issued UC Berkeley 2022 Campus Master Plan.

 After a multi-year, comprehensive planning process, UC Berkeley issued its 2022 Campus Master Plan, its first in nearly two decades. UC Berkeley’s Campus Architect, Wendy Hillis, AIA will present an overview of the new UC Berkeley Campus Master Plan (completed Fall 2021), which is anticipated to guide the physical development and aesthetics of the campus for the next 20 years, as well as a snapshot of current projects in design and construction.

Our speaker

Wendy Hillis, AIA, Assistant Vice Chancellor and Campus Architect, UC Berkeley

Wendy has served as Assistant Vice Chancellor at Campus Architect at UC Berkeley since 2019. In this role, she provides strategic and long-range planning for the programming, design, and development of campus properties, including buildings, infrastructure, and landscape projects. Prior to her role at UC Berkeley, she was the Campus Architect at Tulane University and the Historic Preservation Architect at UNC Chapel Hill.

Wendy holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and a Master of Architecture degree with a certificate in preservation from the University of Virginia.
