Virtual Program - Presidio Tunnel Tops Project + Future Development

Wondering what all the construction along Crissy Field is about? Come hear all about the new park opening on July 17 within the Presidio! The Presidio Tunnel Tops is a new 14-acre outdoor space built on the Presidio Parkway Tunnels. It connects the historic center of the park to the Presidio’s waterfront at Crissy Field. There will be amazing Golden Gate views, picnic areas, snack shack, educational facilities, and outdoor nature spaces for kids.

The presentation will also feature the Presidio’s future development and leasing plans along with an update on the Presidio’s 2.1 million square feet of leased commercial space, 1,400 residential homes, and retail and hotel assets.

Our speakers

Michael Boland, Chief Park Officer

Since 2001, Michael Boland has played a key role in transforming the historic Presidio army base into a world class national park site.  As Chief Park Officer, he leads an interdisciplinary team that has created comprehensive visitor infrastructure, restored the Presidio’s mosaic of natural and cultural landscapes, established national park experiences serving urban youth and their families, and reinvented the site as a unique financially self-sufficient national park for all.

Michael has a B.A. in Architecture, and a Masters in Landscape Architecture and City Planning, all from UC Berkeley. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects.

Joshua Bagley,

Deputy Chief Business Officer

Josh Bagley has been with the Presidio Trust since 2005 and currently serves as the Deputy Chief Business Officer. Josh plays a significant role in the Presidio Trust’s efforts to generate revenue from its six million square feet of buildings. Josh works with a dedicated team to manage 2.1 million square feet of leased commercial space, 1,400 residential homes, and hospitality assets to deliver over $100 million in revenue each year. In addition, he directs all aspects of the real estate development process having managed the rehabilitation of more than 600,000 square feet of historic buildings representing $400 million in public and private investment in the Presidio.
